Gallery owner and operator Gail Reina studied art in Europe, New York, and New Orleans, and she has Master of Art in Art History from Tulane University.
The Art
Reina Gallery is a unique multimedia collection of New Orleans art created by local and regional artists. Media includes watercolor, photography, etchings, ceramic masks, jewelry, and folk art.
About the Artists
Shelley Barbarot
Shelley Barbarot paints religious themes having been born and raised “New Orleans Catholic.” Her paintings portray “Saints” and religious themes in subdued Byzantine style and often are composed on wood or cabinet doors. Ms. Barbarot also creates three-dimensional and boxed Saint Shrines.
Julie Woolfolk
Julie Woolfolk is an accomplished water colorist. Her paintings depict the New Orleans French Quarter and the French Bayou. Ms. Woolfolk’s works are displayed in various collections in the U.S. and abroad.
